We are very excited to announce our new school council for 2020/2021 has been formed which consists of a lead representative and also a deputy for each class. We are also pleased to welcome representatives from year 2 into our committee this year.
All school council representatives were voted for by their peers and awarded a badge which we wear with pride around the school. This let’s our classmates know who to talk to about improving our within the school. Our councillors for this year are:
Lead Council Representatives
Deputy Council Representatives
This year the school council will be raising money for new laptops for children across the school to use in their ICT lessons. We need to raise approximately £7000 to replace the whole suite so we hope you can support the fun events we have planned for the year ahead.
As well as raising money for our school, we will also be supporting these local charities who do an amazing job providing much needed services to our community.
Friday 23rd October – Break a rule day
All MPA students can bring in £1 before Friday and get a permission slip from Ms Butler to break one of the school rules on the last day of term. These rules include, wearing trainers, odd socks, nail varnish and funky crazy hairstyles!
MPA Harvest Festival – week of 2nd November
The school council will be collecting food items for local charity New Beginnings who support the local community by providing clothing, food and essential items. We will be collecting both non-perishable food items and toiletries from every classroom and delivering to the New Beginnings HQ on Friday 13th November. We hope all families can contribute some items to support this wonderful charity.
Movie Nights – 18th & 19th November
All children across the school will be able to buy a ticket (£3.50) for a movie night in their class/bubble. Price includes pizza, drink and popcorn! Key stage 1 and 2 children will be able to come back to school in their own clothes – even PJ’s!
All money raised for the movie nights and break a rule day will go towards our new laptop appeal.
Christmas Jumper Day
This year MPA students will be raising money for local charity, Daisy’s Dream by paying £1 to wear their Christmas jumpers on Friday 11th December. The Daisy’s dream charity support children and families affected by life threatening illness or bereavement.
